1 Arrested for Non-Fatal Daytona Shooting
One man has been arrested for a shooting in Daytona Beach that left one victim injured, the Daytona Beach Police Department has announced. 29-year-old Key'shaun Martin has been accused of attempted homicide on Wednesday, May 13. The incident occurred shortly before 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday. DBPD officers responded to the 800 block of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard after one victim was reportedly shot. The victim in question was hospitalized after responders arrived. According to the DBPD, they were in critical condition upon arrival. The suspect, who was at the time unnamed, was said to have left the scene before police arrived. At the time, the DBPD asked the community for tips to help them locate the suspect. On Friday the DBPD identified Key'shaun Martin as the suspect in the shooting, and announced that he'd been taken into custody. As of Monday, the charges levied against Martin remain unclear. His arrest does not appear in records with the Volusia County Branch Jail. The DBPD has stated that more information will be provided in the near future.
