One teenager was killed in Deltona on Thursday, the Volusia Sheriff's Office announced Friday morning. A 17-year-old is said to have died of gunshot wounds on Christmas evening. VSO deputies were called at around 8:49 pm, the Sheriff's Office said in their statement on the shooting. The incident occurred at the 2000 block of El Campo Avenue, a residential street that connects Sullivan Street to Applegate Terrace just west of Normandy Blvd. When they arrived on scene, deputies found 17-year-old Brenden Watkins having been shot multiple times.
