1 Arrested for Shooting at Palm Coast McDonald's
Last updated: Wednesday 5/27/26 2:05 p.m. One suspect has been detained following a shooting at the McDonald's at Palm Coast Parkway and Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office announced late Tuesday night. The incident left one victim in critical condition. At 10:20 p.m., the FCSO said it responded to 911 calls which described reckless driving, road rage, and gunshots. Two individuals were identified: a 50-year-old Palm Coast resident and the 61-year-old Daytona North resident he's alleged to have shot. Neither name has been made publicly available by the FCSO as of Wednesday afternoon. The 61-year-old was reportedly found with a facial injury and multiple gunshot wounds. He was treated on-scene by the Palm Coast Fire Department and Flagler County Fire Rescue before being airlifted to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. The FCSO says he's in stable condition. The FCSO provided an early description of how the incident is believed to have transpired. The accused shooter and others are said to have been engaged in a road rage incident on Belle Terre Parkway. Things spilled over once the shooter and the victim wound up in the same McDonald's drive-thru. The other parties involved in the initial road rage were not directly involved in the shooting, the FCSO says. It's not yet clear whether shooter and victim had any existing relationship prior to the shooting. As of Wednesday the FCSO's investigation into the shooting is still ongoing. The agency stated that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
