5 New Members Appointed to Palm Coast Planning Board

Five new members have been appointed to the Palm Coast Planning and Land Development Regulation Board by the Palm Coast City Council. These new members will help be responsible for reviewing applications for zoning changes and exceptions, and then making recommendations to the City Council on key development decisions. Four of the five appointees will hold regular seats on the Planning Board, while the fifth will serve as an alternate. The four new members are Jeff Adams, Dawid Blaszkiewicz, Andrew Dodzik, and Adolphus Evans. The new alternate member is Tyler Warner. Two applicants out of seven total were passed over for the appointment: Janice Catoggio and Jim Sugg. Each one of these members are appointed to serve a term of four years. They may serve two consecutive terms before being forced to leave their positions according to the City Charter. The Planning Board is one of several voluntary boards, each of whom review a specialized aspect of city management and/or planning to make recommendations to the City Council. Several Planning Board members recently left their seats. Charles Lemon resigned last year, Suzanne Nicholson and Dave Ferguson resigned in July, and Hung Hilton's term ended in August. Alternate member Larry Gross also reached the end of his term last month. Only three members remained on the board prior to the City Council's appointments: Chair Sandra Shank, Dana 'Mark' Stancel, and James Albano. Alternate member Gary Decker also remained.
