Deltona Man Charged with Sex Crimes Against Teens
A Deltona man already in custody has been hit with additional criminal charges for alleged sex crimes against teenage girls, the Volusia Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday. 29-year-old Emmanuel Edgardo Trujillo has been in jail since December 19th, when he was arrested for child pornography possession. The criminal investigation into Trujillo's alleged crimes began last year, when he was alleged to have purchased gifts for underage girls in exchange for explicit photos. He's now also accused of having met up with one of the victims for in-person sexual activities. A tip was submitted in October 2025 informing detectives that Trujillo was giving vapes, drugs, and other gifts in exchange for sexual interactions with minors. A search warrant was first served against Trujillo's residence on December 19th, when deputies seized multiple electronic devices. He was charged with five counts of directing the sexual performance of a child, four counts of possession of child pornography, using a computer to solicit a child while misrepresenting age, illegal usage of a two-way communication device, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Trujillo was arrested at the scene and later booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail without bond. He's remained in custody ever since, and is now facing additional charges: nine counts of possession of child pornography, lewd or lascivious battery of a child, lewd or lascivious conduct, using a computer to solicit a child, unlawful usage of a two-way communication device to commit a felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Two victims of Trujillo's alleged crimes have been identified by the Volusia Sheriff's Office. Both are under 16 years old, the VSO says. Prior to these two batches of criminal charges, Trujillo has no previous arrests on record in Volusia County.
