Motorcyclist Killed in Deltona Crash
A motorcyclist has sadly passed away after a crash in Deltona, the Volusia Sheriff's Office announced on Monday. The incident reportedly occurred Sunday at around noon. The Volusia Sheriff's Office says the victim of the crash was a 63-year-old man. He was said to have been riding near Dewey Boster Park when the accident occurred. When the motorcyclist was riding on Saxon Blvd, he's said to have approached a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe which was turning into Dewey Boster Park. The bike collided with the Tahoe, the VSO says, and its rider was ejected. An initial investigation by the VSO indicated the driver of the Tahoe showed no signs of having been impaired. An exact cause was not listed, but the Sheriff's Office says that the speed at which the motorcycle was traveling may have contributed to the crash. As of Tuesday, an investigation is still ongoing. More information will be added to this and/or subsequent reports as it becomes available.
