Ormond Man Arrested on 40 Counts of Child Porn Possession
57-year-old Ormond Beach resident John Delage was arrested last week for over three dozen counts of child pornography possession. The Volusia Sheriff's Office announced Delage's arrest on Saturday. Delage is the commanding officer at the American Legion Post in Ormond Beach, just off of Granada Blvd. This is where Delage was when Volusia Sheriff's deputies arrived to bring him into custody on Friday evening. The VSO says that staff members at the American Legion were fully cooperative in turning Delage over for his arrest. The investigation into Delage's alleged crimes began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The Center forwarded their information to the Volusia Sheriff's Office's Child Exploitation Unit, kicking off a local investigation. Records show Delage was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail Friday evening. As of Wednesday he's still being held there on no bond, charged with 40 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child. Delage has no prior arrests on file in Volusia County.
