Volusia County Councilman Troy Kent Holding District Meeting on Jan. 12th
Volusia County Council member Troy Kent will be holding a district meeting on Monday, January 12th, the county government announced on Wednesday. The meeting will give residents an opportunity to engage with one of their county-level elected officials about a variety of issues and concerns facing Volusia County going into 2026. Troy Kent represents District 4 on the Volusia County Council. This meeting is scheduled to take place from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on January 12th, 2026. It will be located at Michael Crotty Bicentennial Park (1800 Ocean Shore Boulevard, Ormond Beach). During the meeting, residents will be able to ask questions of Kent and speak their mind about issues they believe deserve attention from the Volusia County government. Though the county's release on the meeting states it's 'free and open to all District 4 residents', reservations are not required and so any residents could in theory attend and participate. Kent's District 4 includes Ormond Beach, Ormond-by-the-Sea, Holly Hill, west Daytona Beach, and the easternmost parts of DeLand and DeLeon Springs. Kent was elected to the County Council in 2022 and then again in 2024. Prior to assuming office, he also served as an Ormond Beach City Commissioner from 2004 to 2022.
