DeLand Police Announce Obtain Warrant for Teenager in Double-Homicide
The DeLand Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 17-year-old Keyan Jayden Rundell in connection to the murders of two young men on Wednesday. Rundell is wanted on two counts of second degree murder. Rundell is said to be a DeLand resident. He is believed by police to have fatally shot 19-year-old Dustin Rose and 18-year-old Samson Campbell. The two men's bodies were found near the Athens Theatre in downtown DeLand Wednesday evening. They were pronounced dead at the scene. According to the DeLand Police Department, Rundell is a Black male measuring 5 feet and 10 inches tall. He's said to weigh 110 pounds, and have brown eyes and black hair. Rundell is considered to be armed and dangerous, police say. Anyone who believes they spot him are urged not to go near him or "attempt to apprehend him under any circumstances". Instead, those who believe they have seen Rundell are asked to call 911 or contact law enforcement immediately. The DeLand Police Department can be contacted by calling (386) 626-7400.
