Flagler County Announces Partial Road Closure on CR-205

A two-mile stretch of CR-205 in Flagler County will be closed for repairs next month, the county government announced on Thursday. The closure will begin on Monday, October 5, with no specified estimate of when the work may be completed. The two-mile area that will receive repairs begins at CR-205's intersection with SR-100. While the work is completed, signs will be placed on SR-100, US-1, and CR-13 advising motorists of the closure and directing them to the designated detour routes. "Residents in this area will still be able to reach their homes throughout the project," said Flagler County Engineer Hamid Tabassian. "The detour for through-drivers will be clearly marked. Drivers should use caution and allow extra travel time. Flagler County appreciates residents' patience while this important work is completed." CR-205 connects the Bimini neighborhood with Espanola in west Flagler County. The road begins north, moving perpendicular with SR-100. It then curves to the east where it passes the Espanola Cemetery. The road terminates at CR-13 and North Old Dixie Highway, near Flagler County Fire Rescue Station 51, the Espanola Community Center, and residential neighborhoods on Falcon Fire Place and Railroad Street.
